To ensure that Yayasan functions effectively and provides good education, nutrition, and healthcare for the children, we need to generate income to cover the school’s operational costs. Visit Piduh Café

Our café, Piduh, opened its doors in 2022 with the aim of empowering young individuals with special needs aged 19 and above. The name Piduh is derived from Pijakan Teduh in Indonesian, signifying a sheltered place that offers security and comfort for these remarkable individuals.

When you drink, lunch or dine at Piduh Café, you’ll witness a unique system where our special needs team prepares and serves your food and drinks with heartwarming dedication. By enjoying a meal at our café, you not only savor delicious cuisine but also support the vocational development of these talented young adults and your contribution will directly support our school with school’s operational costs. Your visit fosters a sense of pride and raises awareness among our patrons.

We kindly request that you make a reservation at least one day before your visit to our café to ensure a seamless experience.

Morning Spiritual Tour Gunung Kawi & Tirta Empul

Embark on a journey to explore the spiritual side of Bali in depth. The tour commences with creating an offering, known as Canang in Bali, which is presented at the temples to seek the gods’ permission to enter. Your guide will provide insights into the offering and the prayer rituals before you partake in a holy bath to purify yourself.

At Gunung Kawi, you’ll marvel at the beautiful rice fields and the 11th-century carved façade known as the King’s tombs, commemorating the Udayana Kingdom. The guide will lead you along small rice field paths surrounding the complex. At Tirta Empul, there are 14 Holy water fountains for purification.

Upon returning to the Foundation, you’ll enjoy a lunch at the Yayasan café, which is run by young people with special needs.

9.30 – 10.30 AM | Stop at Yayasan to make offerings: 
10.30 AM – 11.00 AM | Drive to Gunung Kawi
11.00 AM – 12.00 PM | Tour around Gunung Kawi, the King’s tomb with picturesque surroundings
12.10 PM | Arrive at Tirta Empul, the spring water temple
12.10 PM – 1.30 PM | Tour around Tirta Empul and partake in the holy bath
2.00 PM | Lunch at Yayasan Widya Guna
3.00 PM | Drop-off at your stay

Tirta Empul Tour

Yeh Pulu Light Trekking (1 Hour) & Lunch at the Yayasan

This tour offers a glimpse into Balinese culture and another side of Bali. The activities begin with a visit to a Balinese house compound, where you’ll receive explanations about the family temple, human aspects, and the environment. The journey continues with a visit to Yeh Pulu temple, nestled amidst picturesque rice terraces.

On the way back to the Yayasan (school for special needs children), you’ll traverse an organic garden with a waterfall view. Lunch at the Yayasan café, run by special needs children, provides a unique opportunity to witness the cooking process, juice-making, and food service.

Cooking Class

Our cooking class offers a unique experience because you’ll be taught by young individuals with special needs, with the guidance of a professional chef as your mentor. The culinary journey commences with a visit to a traditional Balinese market to procure fresh, locally sourced cooking ingredients.

Upon arriving at the Yayasan, you’ll have the opportunity to explore our organic garden, where you’ll handpick the freshest ingredients for your cooking adventure. The cooking session kicks off at 10 AM in the school’s café, and you’ll receive assistance from our young special needs students throughout the cooking process.

Sample Menu

Gado Gado: A medley of vegetables with tofu, tempeh, and peanut sauce
Sayur Urap: A flavorful vegetable dish with a hint of spice and freshly grated coconut
Pepes: Fish or chicken with Balinese spices, wrapped in banana leaves and steamed to perfection
Sate Lilit: Chicken infused with Balinese spices and coconut, skewered and grilled
Nasi Kuning: Fragrant rice with turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, and lime leaf
Dessert: Choose from Black Rice Pudding or Green Banana Pancake with grated coconut and palm sugar.
