Therapy

The special needs children program consists of 3 programs, including  sensory-, physiotherapy- and aquatherapy.

Sensory therapy

Sensory therapy is the place specifically made for students who are less focused on learning. The learning is given with one-on- one system, one student with one therapist. The lesson given are adjusted to student’s development. In general students will be given fine motor, gross motor and oral motor exercises. In addition, here also trains student’s communication using picture card because some students are not optimal on communicating verbally.

Physiotherapy program

The physiotherapy program at Yayasan Widya Guna Bali since 2017. Physiotherapy program is prioritized for children who are physically disable and not independent yet with mobility, mostly diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and also children with mental health problem and down syndrome.

Most of the program are more modified exercises with games or fun things than with electrical tools. The program includes fine motors, gross motor, postural control, and mobility. Physiotherapy activities supported by Share Switzerland.

Aquatherapy

Our aquatherapy-pool was build at Yayasan Widya Guna Bali in 2020. The pool was supported by Wilde Ganzen. The aqua therapy pool is with heat pump machine so the water is warm, that is really good to releasing pain, releasing stiffness, and to make the children relax. Aqua therapy program is given to the children who get physiotherapy program, and also the pool is used with other children, special needs children and unprivileged children.
