By Sponsoring a child
The program for special needs children is expensive and runs solely on donations. Keeping the program going is one of our passions at the yayasan because the children’s families rely on it as the only hope for a better future for their children.
The children require everything from one on one teaching and individual attention to clothes, food, supplies, equipment and of course money to pay for it all.
You can make donations by cash or bank transfers; below are our bank details:

We welcome you to volunteer and help us with our work. Come and share your knowledge, teach classes or work with our disabled children.
Many volunteers from around the world have been working with us and have helped us to implement and run our education programs. It does not matter if you come and help just for a couple of hours, or for a longer period. The children value your time and energy.
To volunteer, we prefer you to enter Indonesia on a Sosio-Cultural VISA, which we will help you to obtain by providing a letter of sponsorship to take with you to the Indonesian embassy when applying in your country.
Volunteering is free, but as we are a self supported organization, all of the housing, meals and transportation are at your own cost.
We prefer our volunteers to stay in our guesthouse; just a 2 minutes walk from the yayasan.
The cost of the room will be used to support the operational costs of the kids such as providing them with healthy meals, paying the teachers’ salaries, transportation of the special needs children, supporting their education and to help purchase their medications.
With your support, we will be able to keep the yayasan running.
As we are in a village, you will get to experience traditional Balinese life and our culture.
You don’t need to have any volunteering experience–just an open heart. The most important thing is some creativity, flexibility and love for the kids.
Program of volunteer work that would benefit for the children :
1. Teaching English
Free English classes are provided at the center as a way for underprivileged children from the Bali island to learn a skill that will maximize their possibilities of future employment in this tourist-rich region of Indonesia.
English is an international language. With English language skills, the child can communicate with their international sponsors and with visitors from abroad that come to visit Indonesia. Furthermore, this will give them an advantage in their future professional careers.
Children are divided into four proficiency levels and are taught English by foreign teachers volunteering their expertise and time. At present, there are 78 children attending the Learning Center who range in ages from 6 to 18 years old. We have some limited resources such as color pencils, paper, glue, scissors, etc. to use duringlessons. If you need any specific materials for your lessons then please provide it yourself.
Teaching Schedule Monday – Friday
English classes are held between 2:00pm – 4:00pm
|Group||Age Group||English Level|
|Group A||6 – 8 years old||Classes are at a basic level as these children have just commenced learning English.|
|Group B||8 – 10 years old||These students know basic English such as making simple sentences, numbers etc. Some students are also able to communicate in basic English.|
|Group C||10 -12 years old||The students can communicate in English, however, they require a greater knowledge of vocabulary and grammar.|
|Group D||13+ years old||These students are able to speak and write English at a higher level. They require assistance with grammar and vocabulary suited for their level of understanding.|
2. Teaching English
The education program for children with disabilities is developed for physically and mentally challenged children that cannot receive a formal education because of their physical and/or mental status. These children have not been accepted by the regular schools for handicapped children, such as the SLB (SLB =SekolahLuarBiasa = Extra Ordinary School).
This program is for these children that have nowhere else to go because we believe that every child has the right to receive education.
In total we have 28 children with various disabilities such as down syndrome, autistism, cerebral palsy, etc. We split the class into 3 groups with local teachers in each class.
Teaching Schedule Monday – Friday

The children love to do yoga, play music and sing. They would be thrilled to be part ofthese classes with you.

As we are a self supported organization, the money raised through the guesthouseis used to keep our projects running byfunding the children’sfood, education, health care, etc. You will find the price more than reasonable and the experience beyond your expectations.
By Sponsoring a child
The best way to help a child receive a good education is to sponsor a child. Using the WINS system, which is regulated by the international charity, 100 % of the sponsor’s donation goes directly to the child’s account and is used only for their education. For further information, please click here.
